My Show Girl

Emily is normally a pretty shy girl.  When she doesn't know you very well she won't talk to you, look at you, and if you really even acknowledge her she will start crying.  I was very much like that as a child also.  But once she feels comfortable she breaks out of her little shell and something takes over.  She changes into this little performer, desiring all the attention she can get.  She will stand on furniture so everyone can see her and do her thing, whatever she decides that is, singing, dancing, you name it, she thinks she's a show stopper!

Today while we were waiting at the movie theater she was singing and dancing away.  When she was finished she waited for the applause and when it came she was so impressed with herself, she wrapped her left arm around her tummy and folded herself over it.  She took a bow!  I didn't even know she knew to do that!

She impresses me everyday with her talents and the many different sides to her personality.  She is just like me sometimes and just like Andy at others.  But mostly she is becoming herself, unique and amazing.

  2. Hi there! I'm your newest follower thanks to Blog Hop Friday!
My 'big girl' is four as well, and alternates between shyness and performance! Isn't it wonderful to watch their personalities evolve?
    Have a great weekend!
