Tonight we are headed out for another shift at the fair. The fair this year is so much fun. The kids rides are awesome- a little Jeep train, a carousel, the Ferris wheel. The concerts are so fun this year too. Tonight is Clay Walker! But I have to say the best thing about the fair is the food. Fried Twinkies, fried Snickers, baked sweet potatoes, cotton candy, kettle corn. The list could keep going. But the best food at the fair will be at the Kern County Fireman's food booth where you can get fried zucchini, french fries, Reuben, chicken and pastrami sandwiches and Dewar's ice cream and of course its a great place to grab your beer.
We had a great shift volunteering in the booth a few days ago with our great friends Tom and Denyelle, and Josh and Liz. It is always a blast hanging out with them. After working we went to see the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's in concert.
